Ranger Risky
The project started out as a flip-book series. This is character flirtatious, playful and a gentle subversion of the archetype of the “ authority” figure. In the flip-book my character removes his uniform by stripping, but the only thing the flip-book shows is his face and shoulders as he flirts, smiles and whirls his clothes off. Taking the Ranger out of the flip book and performing in galleries and parks has been a hoot!
In 2017 I performed at Lincoln Arts Project in Waltham Massachusetts. The Ranger engaged the public in an interactive performance by playing leap-frog with volunteers from the opening.
